NFL nut Kyle Robins (@AhhYeahKyleYeah) runs the rule over the Most Receiving Yards market ahead of the 2018/19 season.
NFL 2018/19 Preview: Most Receiving Yards
Last season’s receiving leader, Antonio Brown, leads the way in the market as 3/1 favourite, but it’s a wide out further down the order who takes my pick.
Kennan Allen finished third to only Brown and Julio Jones last year in this market. This might finally be his time.
If Allen can avoid the mid-season slump he endured last year and the Chargers are finally able to start a season positively, he could make up the 140 yards he finished behind Brown last year. The 14/1 with Ladbrokes offers value, especially given the generous each-way offering.
With Andrew Luck finally returning under the gun for the Colts, Hilton could be in line for a great year. Given the fact he won this award back in 2016 under Luck’s throwing arm, 25/1 with Sportingbet is another great each-way shot.
Adams to excel
With Adams, he may not have ever come close to this award, but I’ve a sneaky feeling he could be in line for a career year.
His numbers were down last year from the previous season but I’m happy to look past that. Adams still went off for 885 yards, despite Rodgers missing half the season.
Add this to the fact Green Bay shipped off Jordy Nelson this off-season, Adams could be in line to see a lot more targets.
He managed to go to the tune of 10 touchdowns last year, finishing second only to DeAndre Hopkins. Now whilst Jimmy Graham could be lined up for a lot of red zone targets, Rodgers has a trust and chemistry with Adams that just makes me think he’ll be his number one target this season.
With Rodgers’s god given ability to throw touchdown passes for fun, this Green Bay team could put up an awful lot of points. We can back Adams to be the the biggest beneficiary of that.
