Serie A – Keep goals onside in Friday night’s fixtures

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak in Serie A with his best Friday selections.

Chievo v Udinese | Friday 5th January 2018, 17:00 | BT Sport

After an exciting start of the season, Chiev’so recent form has been a nightmare, with zero points picked up in their last three games.

On the other hand, Udinese are absolutely flying after Massimo Oddo took the job as head coach – their run of five consecutive wins is superb for a team who were struggling to avoid relegation only a month ago.

The Zebrette’s attack has been the key of such evolution, and this is what I am backing again. They’ve scored an average of almost 3.00 goals per-game in this run and I am expecting the visitors to score at least once in Chievo.

Also, Chievo find the net with regularity at home where only Roma and Napoli have been able to keep a clean sheet.

Therefore, Both Teams To Score is the call at 4/5 (Coral).

Fiorentina v Inter Milan | Friday 5th January 2018, 19:45 | BT Sport

A similar trend for Inter Milan as the Nerazzurri are facing a tremendous crisis after an extraordinary start.

I’ve often underlined their inconsistency, even when they were at the top of the table and some of their inconsistencies have become evident in recent times, where they collected only one point in three Serie A matches (against Udinese, Sassuolo, and Lazio), as well as being eliminated in Coppa Italia by AC Milan.

I think coach Luciano Spalletti will try to change something here. Their major problems are in the offence as they’ve been able to score only one goal in the aforementioned games.

The Nerazzurri have suffered with a too defensive approach so far, with Mauro Icardi being the only relevant scorer and I do expect their approach to change.

That is why I am backing Both Teams To Score (8/11 Matchbook) in Florence, where the home side showed little problems in terms of creating opportunities.
