THE Daily Record’s Mr Fixit (@mrfixittps) casts his eye over the weekend’s Scottish football fixtures, highlighting his best bets.
Raith v Ayr | Saturday 13th January 2018, 15:00
League One’s top two meet at Stark’s Park and both have been involved in plenty of high-scoring games recently.
Rovers’ last six have gone Over 2.5 Goals as have five of Ayr’s previous six.
Raith have a one-point advantage in the title race with two games in hand after three defeats in four for their closest rivals.
The Kirkcaldy men have won four in a row and both meetings this season have been home victories. I fancy Rovers to edge it but rather than going for the win I’ll take the hosts to score Over 1.5 Goals for the eighth game on the spin at 21/20 with BetVictor.
Arbroath v Queen’s Park | Saturday 13th January 2018, 15:00
It’s been raining goals in League One recently and this clash looks ripe for more of the same.
Queen’s have drawn their last three 2-2 and six of their last seven have seen both teams scoring.
Five of Arbroath’s last six have also trapped BTTS so both teams to hit the net is worth taking at 14/19 with 10BET.
Peterhead v Stirling | Saturday 13th January 2018, 15:00
In League Two Peterhead took their tally to 20 in four games with a 4-1 win at Stenhousemuir.
They look unstoppable just now and should sink a Stirling side who ended a poor run by beating Berwick last week.
Stirling won 4-2 at Balmoor earlier in the season but were in better form and the Blue Toon look set wreak revenge.
Peterhead have conceded five in those four romps so a home win plus Over 2.5 Goals is the pick at 19/20 at Betway.
