Cardiff entertain Manchester in today's battle of the cities and I expect a tightly fought encounter in the Welsh capital.

It's fair to say that this game has caught the imagination of home fans to a far greater extent than their third round match against League Two Mansfield. Just 6,378 fans braved the elements that day yet a 33,000 sell-out is in store this afternoon.

Manager Neil Warnock may have joked that he has had his side chasing pieces of litter in the wind to prepare for a visit of the champions elect, but make no mistake, the wily Yorkshireman will have left no stone unturned in his preparation for this game.

He has enjoyed many a cup scalp during his extensive management career and his Sheffield United team beat both Arsenal and Tottenham during their single season in the Premier League. Indeed, given Warnock's proven ability to motivate sides for a one-off game, I would not be going anywhere near Manchester City at 2/9.

The visitors probably will win this game but I don't believe they emerge victorious 82% of the time. Instead, I like the look of both teams to score which is available at 19/20 with Bet365. Cardiff have failed to score on just three occasions in 14 league matches this term whilst City's attacking threat is second-to-none.

Additionally, both sides have found the net in each of The Citizens last six games, including two matches against Cardiff's Championship rivals, Bristol City.

In terms of correct scores, 2-1 and 3-1 are the most common scorelines in Manchester City victories this term, obliging in 11 of their 35 matches in all competitions. I recommend backing both on the exchange (2-1 is around 12/1 and 3-1 is 10/1). Good luck.
