Scottish Footbal Tips: Dino Vita’s backing the Lions to roar on Saturday

PRO PUNTER Dino Vita's (@VitaDino) started his season in fine style. Here's his latest Scottish NAP for Saturday.

Brechin v Livingston | Saturday 12th August 2017, 15:00

My selection this week comes from the Scottish Championship as Livingston look to continue their good form against struggling Brechin City.

Livi bounced back from relegation to win League One last season in style and have continued their positive performances into the new season, winning four and drawing two of their opening six outings.

Tuesday night’s League Cup victory away at Falkirk showed that the Lions could be a big threat in the promotion race this term, rather than fighting it out at the bottom of the division.

Part-time City may struggle to adjust

Brechin had an incredible end to their campaign last time out, finishing fourth but going up via the play-offs when beating Raith Rovers in the final.

The City punched above their weight gaining promotion and I feel will really struggle in the second-tier now. They are one of only two part-time sides in the league and will feel a massive difference playing full-time clubs consistently.

Darren Dods’ men haven't had a great start, losing three and drawing one of their League Cup games. And last weekend Brechin were hammered 4-1 at Queen of the South in their curtain-raiser.

The betting angle

Although Livi played extra-time on Tuesday, they'll have had rest and recovery by Saturday and I fancy them to continue their excellent form by taking all three points at 4/5 (BetVictor)

Best Bets

Brechin v Livingston – Livingston to win (4/5 BetVictor)
