MLS: Goals should fly-in Stateside on Saturday night

0

MLS expert Luke Beaumont (@LBBeaumont) shares his favourite fancies from Saturday night's Major League Soccer action.

New York Red Bulls v New England Revolution | Sunday 00:30

The Red Bulls come into this game without a win since April and they will be looking to start a positive run of form after that hard-fought point against Toronto last weekend. Bradley Wright-Phillips has a confidence boost after his overhead kick goal in the match against Toronto.

New England are a force at home, but really struggle away from home and they're yet to pick up a win on the road. This will give the Red Bulls hope that they can take advantage and collect a much needed three-points.

The Revs' away games average three goals per-game, so I also expect goals in this fixture. I'm predicting New York Red Bulls to get back to winning ways this weekend in a match that sees both sides scoring – it’s 9/4 (BetVictor).

Minnesota United v Orlando City | Sunday 01:00

Both of these sides have shaky form at the moment, and you'd have to say Minnesota are picking up the better results of the two.

Orlando City haven't won any of their last 5fivematches, and suffered a very disappointing defeat in their last outing. They were comfortably beaten 3-0 at home last weekend by Patrick Vieira's New York City FC.

Orlando will be hoping to get back to winning ways but the Loons are no pushovers at home. They might be strugglers on the road, but at home they have won three out of their last five, most notably the Loons beat Western conference leaders, Sporting Kansas City here.

Both teams are good for high scoring matches and are never part of a dull affair. Both teams to score should fly in here, but one thing I can't do is predict a winner!

Both teams form is far too unpredictable and the points could go either way in this one so I'll take Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams To Score (5/6 Bet365).

Best Bets

New York Red Bulls v New England Revolution – New York Red Bulls to win and Both Teams To Score (9/4 BetVictor)

Minnesota United v Orlando City – Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams To Score (5/6 Bet365)
