Serie A: Expect the Wolves to show their teeth in the San Siro

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak in Serie A with his best Sunday selections.

I will play today’s Serie A from a different angle. I like to share the same bet for five different matches I have selected. I will be backing all these matches to finish with Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Goals for different reasons.

Genoa v Inter | Sunday 14:00

A match between two of the most disappointing sides of 2016-17 Serie A. Inter have literally thrown away their season with a number of losses that have costed them any hope of a UCL qualification.

Genoa are having one of their worst seasons for a long time and their recent awful form has put them in a difficult position, with Crotone pushing hard and now just five points behind.

At least they’ll be determined to put up a fight here, and scoring should not be a problem given their offensive abilities while also keeping their clean sheet will be a problem as they actually share the fourth worst defensive record in the league.

Lazio v Sampdoria | Sunday 14:00 | BT Sport Extra

Lazio are playing an enthusiastic final part of the season. Their victory in the derby sealed their supremacy in the city, after Roma’s elimination in Coppa Italia. The biancocelesti objectives are still there, as they want to keep Atalanta distant from the 4th spot in the table.

Winning on Sunday is therefore required but it won't be easy with Sampdoria travelling to Rome. The blucerchiati have a consistent record of scoring goals against bigger teams. This is why I think that both teams will find the net, with maybe Lazio prevailing at the end, justifying an Over 2.5 goals total in the match.

Pescara v Crotone | Sunday 14:00

This should be a dramatic relegation encounter between Pescara and Crotone, with the latter in stunning form in this final part of the season. The Calabrians are keeping a top team yield, despite this probably not being enough to keep them safe from Serie B.

Pescara are already relegated and probably will not put a fight up here, but I rate them still able to register at least one goal, as happened against far superior teams such as AC Milan and Roma.

Crotone will play a very offensive game as their only option here is to get the three points. Back both teams to score and more than two goals in the game.#

Sassuolo v Fiorentina | Sunday 14:00

Also we should see entertainment in this match, that should not be more than a friendly affair. Both teams have nothing to play for and I am keen on their usual offensive mentality to produce some goals.

Sassuolo have been constantly conceding at home and are really underperforming compared to last year's form. Also Fiorentina are a much more open team when on their travels as they score and concede goals with a higher ratio instead when in the Artemio Franchi. I would expect any kind of result here, with goals being a solid selection on my side.

AC Milan v Roma | Sunday 19:45 | BT Sport Europe

This is the most interesting match of the whole Serie A day, no doubt. AS Roma are desperately pushing to have their second place back, in order to get direct qualification to next year UCL.

Their actual form is not the best though, as they’ve just been thrashed away in the derby and they'll feel the pressure of that potentially ruining an entire season.

I do not have any certainty about the mentality they will approach this match, so I prefer to back goals as both teams have showed little reliability on the defensive end in recent times. Also, Roma’s urgency to win in order to overcome the two points deficit from Napoli (who have played on Saturday) will make things more interesting from kick off.
