Roma v Lazio: Giallorossi to go for goals in Tuesday’s Coppa Italia tie

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak with his best bet from Tuesday’s Coppa Italia semi-final clash in the capital.

Roma v Lazio | Tuesday 19:45 | Sky Sports

Roma v Lazio is the final showdown to get a place in the Coppa Italia final in May. The two teams met a couple of weeks ago and Lazio overcame Roma 2-0.

The Giallorossi now need to score two goals without conceding, or more than three goals if they do not manage to keep their sheets clean if they wish to progress.

This is not an easy affair, given Lazio’s offensive abilities and also Roma’s defence who has been a concern for much of the season. Despite having some solid central defenders, Roma have always developed an offensive style of play that makes them vulnerable.

At the same time this give them a lot of attacking creativity and so far they have the second best attack in the whole Serie A.

I am really cautious about predicting someone to qualify. Lazio has an enormous advantage, but their city rivals would have the right weapons to overcome such a deficit. Obviously, this is not something to consider easily, but I will be happier to back on Team Goals.

When playing at home, Roma have an average of almost 3.00 goals scored per-game, and their urgency to attack should give us a good run for our money.

Lazio will play a very defensive game in my opinion, but this could not be enough and their ability to punish on the counter will make this team more open when possession is turned over.

For this reason I expect goals to be registered, and I’ll side with Roma to score Over 1.5 Goals in the game at 4/6 (Betfred).
