LA LIGA expert Callum Read (@CallumRead) landed more profit this weekend. Can he continue his hot streak on Monday night?

This weeks Monday night football see’s in form, Real Sociedad travel to the Riazor Stadium in search of their sixth win in their last seven games. The one they failed to win was in fact a 1-1 draw with Barcelona, a game in truth, they should’ve won.

Superb Sociedad

There is no doubt in my mind that the San Sebastian side go into this fixture full of confidence. I really like the look of Eusebio’s side, his transfer business was smart, recruiting in key areas and defensively they’ve been tough to break down – only letting in two goals in their last five league games.

They have quality throughout the side, Asier Illarramendi is showing the form that earned him the move to Real Madrid a few years ago, he’s been defensively strong and created chances going forwards.

Wily Willian

Speaking of goals, Willian Jose has already scored seven times in the league this season making him the fifth highest scorer, only Ronaldo, Iago Aspas, Messi and Suarez have more than the Brazilian forward.

He’s currently averaging 2.6 shots per game – the 10th most in the league. With Deportivo struggling with keeping the goals out – conceding 23 this season, I’m more than happy to back Willian Jose anytime at odds of 5/2 with Paddy Power.

Disappointing Depor

Having heaped the praise upon La Real, it’s time to show my dark side. Deportivo have been incredibly average this season and have won just twice – once of which came on the opening day. However, of late their fixtures have actually been entertaining.

Having lost their last two 4-3 v Malaga and 3-2 v Sevilla have also drawn 1-1 twice in their last five and also were defeated 4-1 to the hands of Celta Vigo. So while they have been poor across the season, goals are being scored at both ends of late. They do however, look really weak and vulnerable defensively – something I think will be shown for all to see on Monday.

One damming statistic for Gaizka Garitano’s side is the fact they are yet to record a clean sheet at home. I’m looking towards the Over 2.5 Goals and Match Result market for this one, I’m happy to take Sociedad and Over 2.5 Goals.

Best Bets

Deportivo La Coruna v Real Sociedad – Willian Jose to score anytime (5/2 Paddy Power)

Deportivo La Coruna v Real Sociedad – Real Sociedad to win and Over 2.5 Goals (7/2 Ladbrokes)
