WILLIE Duncan (@Willie_Duncan) has found form and he can't resist backing this Scottish Sunday selection.

Hibs v Dundee United | Sunday 12:00 | Sky Sports 2

There haven't been many happy Hibbies around in the last couple of weeks, but I suspect that Sunday's Championship clash with Dundee United might give the green half of Edinburgh something to smile about.

The last Easter Road encounter for Neil Lennon's men ended disastrously as the hosts were reduced to 10 men before being humbled by Ayr United.

Until that point, Lennon’s side had a 100% record in the league this season and, so, the loss in Leith against the Honest Men was certainly surprising and, indeed, it was only the second defeat that Hibs have had to endure in their last 23 Easter Road encounters in the second tier.

Dundee United travel to Easter Road five points adrift of the hosts, having made a shaky start to the campaign under Ray McKinnon – and it is away from Tannadice that United have had their problems this season.

Indeed, the team from Tayside have lost two of their three Championships matches away from home so far this season, with their only win coming against Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park.

That result, however, could have been very different but for an extraordinary performance from United goalkeeper Cammy Bell, who saved three first-half penalties against the Pars.

United, too, benefited from penalty drama as they defeated both Arbroath and Inverness Caledonian Thistle in League Cup shoot-outs on their travels but a dismal 2-1 defeat in the quarter-finals of the same competition at Cappielow against Greenock Morton earlier this month serves as a reminder of United's rocky record on the road.

Hibs were held to a goalless draw against Queen of the South at Palmerston Park last weekend and the Doonhamers will aim to stretch their lead at the top of the table with a win against Dumbarton on Saturday afternoon.

Lennon's men, though, can keep in touch – and extend their advantage over United to eight points – with victory this weekend and backing the Hibees to get back to winning ways could see punters profit.

The 13/10 quote for a home win is not to be sniffed at and Neil Lennon's men are great value to send the fans home happy on Sunday afternoon.
