CAN Card King Gavin Murphy (@GamePlanGavin) continue his stunning streak on Friday night as Granada take on Malaga?

Granada v Malaga | Friday 19.30 | Sky Sports 5

An Andalusian derby takes centre stage on Friday night as Malaga make the short trip to Granada.

The history of cards in this fixture in recent years is interesting. So much so that I could recommend a variety of bets…

The past five meetings between these two teams have produced total card figures of 9-9-7-8-6 – that’s an average of 7.80 cards-per-game.

The whisteblower in this one is Javier Estrada Fernandez and he has history with Granada – the only team he has booked more often than El Grana in his career is Valencia!

Strangely though, he has never shown them a red card to the hosts. Perhaps that changes on Friday night?

In 14 career matches officiating Granada, Fernandez has flashed 58 yellows in their direction at an average of 4.14 cards-per-game. He averages 3.22 cards-per-game to Malaga.

Indeed, this referee has covered Granada three times this season and those games have seen total card figures of 9-11-13, at an average of 11 cards-per-game. This includes the earlier meeting between the two clubs in Malaga when he dished out 11.

In those three fixtures, El Grana have received 5-6-7 cards, at an average of 6.00 cards-per-game.

This is a derby but it is also a very important match for Granada who hover above the La Liga relegation zone.

All of this bodes well for cards. I can't overlook the referee's past history with the hosts and the fact that the match is far more important to Granada than Malaga. Therefore, I am recommending Over 3 Granada Cards at 21/20 with William Hill.

About Author

I first got interested in gambling through my cousin. He's a professional gambler and got me hooked as a teenager when you had to pay the 9% tax. Who remembers that?! These days I prefer to specialise on one market rather than spread myself too thinly. Hence my love of cards! Hopefully I can make others a few bob in the process of sharing my bets on WeLoveBetting. On a personal note I love most sports especially cricket, rugby and NFL. I support Tottenham and all things Welsh and outside of sport I enjoy reading autobiographies particularly with a glass of good wine!
