West Ham v Liverpool | Tuesday 19:45 | BT Sport 2

2016 is only 40 days old. People are still saying Happy New Year to each other, Christmas decorations still haven't been put back up in the attic, yet West Ham and Liverpool are meeting for the third time already this calendar year. Hardly a glamorous start to the year eh?

The sides met on January 2nd at Upton Park with the Hammers proving far too good for Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp was extremely angry after the game and some would say that's been as it goes under his tutlelage.

They met again at the end of last month in the FA Cup at Anfield with neither side managing to break the deadlock. Liverpool played an inexperienced side but performed well as West Ham goalkeeper Paul Randolph proved their nemesis.

After suffering from appendicitis at the weekend Jurgen Klopp must need this like a hole in the head. His side are very hard to trust at the moment with just one win from their last six Premier League games.

Saturday's meek collapse at Anfield at the hands of Sunderland wasn't too much of a surprise and you just get the feeling the German has one eye on next season already.

It's been a more productive spell for West Ham with four wins from their eight matches in 2016. This included a home victory to Liverpool and a draw at the same venue against Man City.

West Ham haven't lost at home for half a year and they look value at 8/5. Liverpool are already in one Cup Final and once again should go down the route of fielding a more inexperienced side.

This isn't a game that gets me excited at all but looking at it pragmatically 8/5 is too big for a side who've already taken their opponents apart in this fixture and are 14 unbeaten at the venue.
