THE weekend gets underway at Selhurst Park with Crystal Palace hosting West Brom. Chris Graham (@chrisgraham79) shares his view here.

There are quite a few of the home favourites this weekend that I'd be happy taking on and Crystal Palace fit that category. As regular readers will know I'm a big fan of the club and Alan Pardew but West Brom look too big here.

Rather like last season, we're seeing bookmakers adopt some teams and keep them short while others go off at fancy prices. It's all subjective of course but from my point of view I think Bournemouth and Norwich are going off very short while the likes of Tottenham and West Brom look chunky.

This game wouldn't make my main Premier League selections this weekend but if I had to identify an angle on the game it would be that the Baggies look a bit big at the prices.

Apart from the price, I think they're a decent outfit who will be hurting after losing 3-2 0n Monday to Everton. The Baggies were of course 2-0 up in that game and it must have been a painful dressing room after the match.

West Brom are unbeaten away from home this season in the league and there's also the small matter of manager Tony Pulis going back to his old club. Intriguing!

Despite the huge steps Crystal Palace have made under Alan Pardew, their home form hasn't been impressive. They've lost two of their three home league games this season and last year finished Bottom 5 in the Home Table.

With all this in mind a small interest in West Brom avoiding defeat at odds against appeals to me.
