CAN England get their World Cup campaign on track? Joe Drabble (@Joe_Drabble) hunts down the best bets.

England v Sri Lanka | Saturday 22.00 | Sky Sports 2

England return to the ‘Cake Tin’ in Wellington looking to banish the memories of their nine-wicket thrashing at the hands of New Zealand there eight days ago.

In what is a huge game for both sides – the winners will virtually assure themselves a place in the quarter-finals – the bookies are finding it very hard to split them in the outright market.

Sri Lanka beat New Zealand at this ground in a recent ODI series and are a top price 10/11 to come away with a win here. I’m on them. Their bowling, albeit weak, should improve in these conditions and England’s confidence, despite winning against Scotland last time out, is still fragile.

Tillakeratne Dilshan and Mahela Jayawardene have both scored centuries for Sri Lanka during this World Cup and I’ll be backing Kumar Sangakkara to join them. He’s a juicy 13/2 to be Top Batsman.

Despite batting low down at No.7, I am persisting with Jos Buttler Top England Batsman at 18/1. His finest ever ODI knock came against this opposition at Lord’s last summer and he may need to repeat those heroics to save England on Sunday morning.

Best Bets

England v Sri Lanka – Sri Lanka to win (10/11)

England v Sri Lanka – Kumar Sangakkara Top Batsman (13/2)

England v Sri Lanka – Jos Buttler Top England Batsman (18/1)
