HAVING delivered with an Anytime Goalscorer winner on Tuesday night, Danny Mercer (@OneDannyMercer) reckons he’s found another big value bet from Wednesday’s Football League action.

Fulham v Nottingham Forest | Wednesday 19.45

Nottingham Forest eased the considerable pressure on Stuart Pearce’s shoulders with Saturday’s excellent 2-1 win over Derby, in the derby. It ended a run of seven league games without a win for the Tricky Tees and could well be the result that turns their season around.

Britt Assombalonga is the main threat to Fulham on Wednesday night and he notched against the Rams, showing great strength plus that great knack for being in the right place at the right time. He's 19/10 with Coral to score again on Wednesday night.

It’s now 14 Championship goals for Assombalonga in just 25 games since his big-money move in the summer. And the former Peterborough hitman netted a hat-trick when the two teams locked horns earlier this season.

Assombalonga’s scored goals in three of his last five away league games and I just don’t rate the centre backs of Fulham that he’ll be up against. Shaun Hutchinson and Nikolay Bodurov may struggle against the pace and power of the Forest striker, so he should get plenty of opportunities.

The 22-year-old should figure up top in an unchanged team from the weekend. And with the likes of Henri Lansbury, Robert Tesche, Michail Anotnio, Ben Osborn and Gary Gardner tucked in behind, there’s plenty of supply to hurt a Cottagers defence that’s been leaking goals at home of late.

I was brought into the betting world from a young age when my parents asked me to pick out a few horses. I’ve been hooked since but only seriously started punting in the past four years. I’ve used my wealth of knowledge from the English game along with my passion for stats and trends to try to find that winning angle. I work hard but enjoy nothing more than studying the form in the hope of getting that extra edge, whether it be from the non-leagues or the Premier League. And if I can help anyone pocket a few quid, it makes the hard work even more worthwhile.
