WILLIE Duncan (@Willie_Duncan) is in a festive mood this week, as he delivers his biggest price pick of the season in Scotland.

St Mirren v Motherwell | Saturday 15:00

This week my bet comes from one of the most unglamorous ties of the weekend between St Mirren and Motherwell. If this match was any uglier they'd have to play it after the watershed.

So why am I getting involved with this match? Well, I've been waiting for weeks to find the right time to take on St Mirren and it's come gift-wrapped this week!

The Buddies have been woeful so far this season! They've picked up a mere eight points from their 16 league matches and were hammered 4-1 by Celtic on Sunday. From the reports I read it could have been 10-1 at Celtic Park!

In front of goal they're limp as well. They've netted just twice in their last seven matches and I think Motherwell can add to their pain on Saturday afternoon.

Well were unlucky to draw with Ross County last Saturday at Fir Park and with new boss Ian Barraclough in charge for the first time I'm expecting them to put up a strong show on Saturday. With the likes of Henrik Ojamaa and John Sutton up front I think Motherwell will be too strong here.

2/1 on a Well win looks as tasty as my turkey will be on Christmas Day. I'm tucking in to this festive treat on Saturday and backing Motherwell all the way.

  1. Not to mention the Teale/Thompson infighting. They both want the managers job so will be trying to outdo each other, splitting the camp perhaps.
