Cagliari v Chievo Tips | 8th December 2014 | BT Sport 2

ITALIAN football expert Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) has made an excellent start to life with us. And he was desperate to share this bet from Monday.

Cagliari v Chievo | Monday 18.00 | BT Sport 2

Cagliari are somehow still winless at home this season. Despite an incredible 4-1 away win in Inter, remarkable draws with Milan and Napoli, as well as holding the two Genoese clubs Sampdoria and Genoa, the Sardinians have yet to collect maximum points on the island this season.

You never know what to expect with Czech coach Zdenek Zeman’s sides. Everyone knows about his attacking football philosophy and lack of a defensive game plan and that often makes it hard to call a winner in Cagliari games.

But, as I always suggest every season, bookmakers tend to react slowly to the “Zdenek market”, and they usually price Over 2.5 Goals on the high side at the beginning of the season with the odds contracting as the season progresses.

Monday’s visitors Chievo are probably the worst side in Serie A to include in an expected goalfest. But crucially, they really need to pick up points, sitting third bottom of the table.

Cagliari enjoyed a last minute equaliser in their Coppa Italia game against Modena on Thursday that ended 4-4. In their most recent Serie A match, they lost 4-0 to Fiorentina, missing incredibly clear-cut chances in front of goal.

I’m pretty confident they can find their first home win on Monday, against one of the weakest side in the whole league. But I will be looking at the goal markets for a bit more value, as I’m aware of what they’re going to risk at the back. Therefore, Cagliari to score Over 1.5 Goals is my best bet.
