Verona v Lazio | Thursday 19.45 | BT Sport 1
Three defeats in four have put the brakes on Verona’s impressive start to the Serie A season and Thursday night’s visit from Lazio will again give Andrea Mandorlini’s team a stern examination.
The Romans arrive on the back of a four-game winning streak including back-to-back victories on the road but just 7/23 (30%) away league wins since the start of last season means there’s enough reason to look away from the Match Odds.
The trends suggest this should be a goal-laden affair at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi. Since return to the top tier for the start of 2013/14, Hellas have seen 17/23 (74%) games in front of their home fans produce Over 2.5 Goals, including seven of their last eight. In fact, 13/23 (57%) have even produced Over 3.5 Goals.
Verona have only failed to net in four of those 23 games mentioned and kept only six clean sheets in that spell. So immediately we’re drawn to those goals markets.
Lazio’s stats tally nicely too – 5/8 games since Stefano Pioli took charge have led to the Over 2.5 Goal barrier being broken whilst it’s also worth noting, the last five clashes between these two teams have produced a whopping 32 goals. Over 2.5 Goals it is at a sumptuous 9/10 offer from BetVictor.
